Boron nitride is a high-purity ceramic — dense, non-porous, and chemically inert to nearly all molten metals and compounds encountered in vacuum deposition. Unlike graphite, BN does not react with reactive metals or evaporation materials, making it the material of choice for processes where contamination cannot be tolerated. We manufacture these components domestically with tight dimensional tolerances and consistent density.

BN is machined from high-purity boron nitride — producing a dense, clean, non-porous ceramic that is chemically inert to nearly all molten metals and compounds encountered in vacuum deposition.
Its low wettability means reactive metals and compounds won't climb the walls, and its thermal shock resistance allows repeated heat cycling without cracking — making HP-BN the material of choice for processes where contamination risk from graphite or metallic crucibles is unacceptable.
